BARTLETT HILLS GOLF COURSE (630) 837-2741
Chicago Golf Course Review - June, 2007
Bartlett Hills in Oneida - west of downtown Bartlett, is a par 71, 18-hole championship course that presents a
fair yet challenging golf experience. Though not overly long, this layout packs some punch, as it encourages
players to play smartly and to find the prime landing zones off the tees. With tree lined fairways and some
interesting doglegs, avid players may choose to keep their drivers in the bag, especially on some of the relatively short par fours.
There are 3 sets of tees that plays to distances and slopes measuring 6478 yards/126 slope, 6153 yards/123
slope, and 5267 yards with slope rating of 113 for men and 121 for women hitting from the forward sets. On
course yardage markers are posted at 100, 150 and 200 yards, and sprinkler heads are measured to the center of the green.
Scorecards indicate the day's front, middle or back hole locations on the mildly sloping, medium to large sized
putting surfaces. The scorecards also provide info on the depth of the greens, affording golfers more info on
exact yardages necessary to reach the pin. Approximate yardages from locations on the fairways are also provided.
Approximately 29 soft sand bunkers are located about the course - all positioned greenside with none situated
near the landing zones off the tee. Water comes into play on seven holes with a few forced carries - off the tee
on the par three 5th and 18th and on the 10th, 12th and 13th holes, and on the approach on the dogleg left pa four second.
On property is a clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant/bar (serving lunch and dinner), and locker rooms with
showers for men and women. Banquet facilities can host up to 200 guests for outings and special events. The
driving range features both mat and grass hitting stations, and there are also three practice greens with outing and chipping allowed.
Bartlett Hills is a good value golf experience, and is conveniently located with easy access from the western suburbs. For more info, visit our page for the course, with direct link to their website by clicking here.
