General information
All photos in this review are of the Lee Trevino Signature course
Geneva National Golf Club - just 4 miles west of Lake Geneva and an easy drive from Chicago or Milwaukee, features 54 holes of championship golf with designs from the
games masters - Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Gary Player. The property is carved out of the rolling Wisconsin countryside and features well manicured bent grass tees,
fairways and greens, with five sets of tee boxes on each course.
The amenities here include great membership and lifestyle opportunities including a well balanced calendar of events complimented by exclusive use of a wellness center,
private locker rooms and restaurants along with high quality service. The 60,000 square foot clubhouse features a Grand Ballroom that can accommodate 300 guests, with
capabilities to be divided into smaller rooms for meetings and conferences. An elegant board room is also available.
Facilities in the clubhouse include a well stocked pro shop, the Hunt Club Restaurant & Legends Tavern (with great views of the Player Course). The Grill Room is open for
breakfast, lunch and dinner - and Geneva National can host up to 600 people for golf outings. Practice facilities include putting/chipping greens and a targeted grass range. The
Par For Life Institute offers programs designed to accelerate the progress and add to the longevity of one's golf game, with a variety of lessons from a staff of golf professionals
available. Each course is well marked with sprinkler heads measured to the center of the green, 100, 150 and 200 yard plates in the fairways, and 150 yard posts in the fairways
on all par fours and fives. Pin placement sheets indicate the day's hole locations.
Lee Trevino Course
The Trevino Signature Course is built along a hilly terrain with a variety of hole designs featuring ample landing zones and mostly elevated tee areas. There are 5 sets of tees that
play to distances and slopes that measure 7120 yards yards/136 slope, 6710 yards/132 slope, 6258 yards/128 slope, 5650 yards/129 slope for women and 5193 yards with a
slope of 124 for ladies hitting from the front tee areas. There are 72 strategically placed sand bunkers and water hazards come into play on 3 holes.
The first six holes play through woodlands with some tight driving holes, but the remainder of the layout is fairly open and not as undulating. The vistas from the elevated tees on
the first three holes are especially memorable. Several holes favor a left to right shot shape with careful placement necessary to navigate the strategic doglegs. For more info, visit
