Naperbrook Golf Club Review (630-378-4215)
Chicago Golf Course Review
Naperbrook Golf Club in Plainfield is the sister course to nearby Springbrook, providing golfers in the district with options on two varied designs. Naperbrook is a links style layout
carved out of farmland in the western suburbs, with rolling hills, native prairies and 10 ponds that provide both aesthetic beauty and challenge.
There are 5 sets of tees that play to distances and slopes that measure 6677 yards/127 slope, 6357 yards/124 slope, 5942 yards/120 slope for men and 126 for women and
5239 yards with a slope of 118 for ladies hitting from the front tee areas. There are 44 strategically placed sand bunkers and water plays an important role in the design as 13
holes have hazards in play in some shape or form.
Golfers will appreciate the wide landing zones on the fairways, but have some work to do greenside as the undulating, sloping putting complexes are well protected by mounds
and sand traps. The thick rough from tee to green made it vital that players land on the fairways off the tee.
On property is a clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant/lounge serving lunch and dinner that seats 60 people, plus and outdoor patio. The practice facilities include a 10-acre driving
range and 10,000 square foot and 3,000 square foot putting/chipping greens. A variety of lessons from a staff of golf professionals are available.
On course sprinkler heads and 150 yard posts are measured to the center of the green, along with yardage markers every 25 yards from 200 in. To the Green GPS is standard on
all carts and front, middle and back pin placement information is printed on the scorecards.
Naperbrook is one of the most popular public courses in the western suburbs, with reasonable rates and unpretentious amenities. For more info, visit our page for the course
